Karen L. Fingermanprofessor of human development and family sciences at the University of Texas at Austin, and Frank F. Furstenberga professor of sociology at the University of Pennsylvania and the director of the MacArthur Foundation Research Network on Transitions to Adulthood, say that our relationships with our young adult children are vital.
