Fostering Motivation in Kids With Learning and Attention Problems - Survival Strategies
Fostering Motivation in Kids With Learning and Attention Problems - Survival Strategies | GreatSchools
I truly believe that the key to motivation is connection. More attention must be paid to developing the teen's strengths and interests. Each month, look for ways to promote and develop those interests by helping your teen to connect to his or her strengths and interests. Make sure to spend time listening to them. Suggest opportunities for them to explore different jobs and careers. Consider arranging field trips; hopefully, a short-term internship or apprenticeship will evolve. Make a plan together. The sooner the better.
